With an increased demand for enrolment, Newport College has grown exponentially in the past number of years to cope with demand Newport College decided to install a high quality pre-engineered solution that offered a competitive price and VFM. Working closely with the client and there design team; Advanced Space Providers aim was to provide a physical environment that created a warm and welcoming feel whilst meeting the highest design specification and surpassing regulations.
Externally, the design value is that based on that of modest form; simple geometry and clean lines offers a contrasting feel to the ever present traditional form of the existing school building. Different cladding options available upon request offering the client the opportunity to present the building in any light. The building consists of an overall footprint of 530sq.m extension installed over two phases comprises of four general classrooms, a music room, WC facilities & science lab including prep and storage room. A large central corridor connects both phases and includes entrance/exits on north/east and south elevations.
The use of high-density class A1 non-combustible mineral wool, as standard, throughout ensured a high thermal efficiency and acoustic quality was achieved whilst offering a complete fireproof solution. With a standard internal ceiling height of 3m, first in Irish market, ASP modular buildings provide the end user with a vast & expansive learning space for both teachers and pupils thus improving the physical comfort of the building.
Floor to ceiling windows provide a light filled classroom bringing a touch of the outside environment indoors.
